Wisconsin screwing over Madison Roll-Your-Own cigarette businesses

Because it's not a massive, multi-billion dollar industry yet, the Roll-Your-Own cigarette business is getting no love from the state of Wisconsin. In the world we live in, only companies that can bankroll an army of lobbyists get a taste of Scott Walker's "Open for Business" policy.

Jason Clark, who owns two stores in Madison where people buy tobacco and roll their own cigarettes, is being targeted by the Department of Revenue, which insists that he should be paying the manufacturer's tax, even though he's never manufactured a product in his life. He and others in the business are fighting the state and the big tobacco companies in court and holding a rally today!
